Car Racing

Car racing, a form of motor racing involving cars built to combine aspects of racing and touring cars. Although there are many conflicting definitions of sports cars, it is usually conceded that in normal production form they do not resemble Grand Prix (Formula I) racing machines. Whereas the latter is a single.seat design carrying spartan cockpit furnishings and utterly functional equipment throughout, the sports car is usually a two- seater, sometimes a four, characterized by its nimble abilities (if not speed and power) together with general suitability for high- speed touring on ordinary roads. Unlike a Grand Prix car, it is usually series-produced,handmade. Some manufacturers of Grand Prix machines, such as Ferrari and Lotus, also make sports cars. Other makes include MG, Jaguar, Aston Martin, AustinI Healey, Triumph, Porsche, Lancia, Morgan, and Chevrolet Corvette. Although not usually designed exclusively for racing, sports cars are nevertheless able racing machines and are often entered in competitions with their own kind, Most of the world’s sports-car racing is conducted for amateur drivers by local and regional organizations. Some of the world’s tccsctcam cot taesng, tsptciaiy in suc’n important as Mans, where the reputations of manufacturers are very much at stake, has brought about some prototype sports cars that are, in reality, little different in their power and speed potentials from Formula I machines. A world sports-car championship was awarded from 1953 to 1961. It was replaced in 1962 by a manufacturer’s championship, for which grand touring and prototype cars also compete, awarded annually to the make of car that achieves the best record in a specified series of races.

Don’t be a Loser, Locate Him Great Gifts for Valentines Day

Love is a fickle game where there are just as many losers as there are winners. When it comes to affairs of the heart, nothing is ever certain or guaranteed. Even when things are seemingly going well, we can find ourselves spurned by the one we love and rejected without fully understanding why. And while we cannot ever fully protect ourselves from the demise of a relationship, we can minimise the chances of becoming a relationship loser by building up an arsenal of great Valentines Day Gifts all ready for the big day. The type of Valentines Day Gifts you ultimately go for will depend upon the type of man you’re buying for. After all, just because one type of man particularly likes certain types of Valentines Day Gifts, it doesn’t mean that another will feel the same way about the Valentines Day Gifts you’ve chosen; the dispirited claims that “all men are the same” is simply not true. If the man in your life is the energetic kind, the best types of Valentines Day Gifts will naturally reflect this vibrancy and energy. This being the case, if your man is the kind of guy who gets a kick out of adrenalin rushes, why not go for high octane Experience Day Valentines Day Gifts? For example, for lovers of fast cars, the Lotus Exige Driving at Silverstone experience day could be a fantastic choice. The Lotus Exige is a beautiful sports car, constructed with the company’s philosophy of creating a racing car that is just as much at home on the road as it is on the racetrack; it’s actually one of the fastest and safest cars legally allowed to be driven around on public roads. Interestingly, given the media attention on the poor performance of Britain’s car industry, Lotus is not only a successful motor company, but also a British one. Since its creation in 1952, the company has even become involved in Formula One. The company has produced a wide variety of vehicles, and in addition to its own creations, Lotus Engineering – a relative of Lotus Cars – has worked with a number of external partners to create or improve upon a collection of non-Lotus vehicles; examples include the Vauxhall VX220, the Isuzu Piazza and the Dodge EV. And if your man likes his Valentines Day Gifts with a twist, why not go for the Monster Truck Driving Experience Day? Sporting 66″ tyres, together with a 7.5 litre engine, these monster trucks are as much of a thrill to watch as they are to drive. The day will involve negotiating some pretty tough terrain, and he’ll even get to experience a deliberate sideways roll! In contrast, if your man is more of a laidback kind of guy, why not look for Valentines Day Gifts that really appeal to his own personal tastes and hobbies? If he’s a fan of desserts, send him to a Chocolate Making Workshop? Held in either Manchester or London, the Chocolate Making Workshop is as much a feast for the senses as it is an ideal Valentines Day Gift. After all, what could be more appealing than being taught how to make delicious chocolate using nothing but the most delicious and freshest of ingredients? And in homage to the saying that if you give a man a fish he’ll eat for a day, but if you teach him to fish he’ll eat for a lifetime, if you give your man Valentines Day Gifts that teach him to make delicious hand-made chocolate, he’ll be able to offer you delicious chocolate-based Valentines Day Gifts until the end of your days. While many of us have a few preconceived notions about chocolate – such as it being tasty but a little fattening, and present in a countless number of Valentines Day Gifts – there is actually more to chocolate than meets the eye. Interestingly, dark chocolate and cocoa have been linked with offering circulatory benefits, and chocolate is even believed to be an aphrodisiac! That makes chocolate-oriented Valentines Day Gifts an even more enticing option!

Electric cars- are they the future of driving or just a dream?

Over the past few years, the automobile industry has seen a rise in the popularity of electric cars. This is largely due to greater awareness of the environmental issues caused by cars and emphasis on how we should all be trying to reduce the impact cars have on the environment. In the past, electric cars were perceived as inferior to traditional cars in terms of performance and style. This is changing slightly now with companies such as Tesla bringing out more modern styled, high performance electric cars. The Tesla Roadster sports car was released in July 2007 and has seen sales steadily grow as electric cars become more popular as attitudes change and the drivers become more environmentally conscious. The performance of electric cars, in terms of speed and miles per charge has always attracted negative reviews. However, perceptions are changing thanks to cars like the Tesla Roadster which can drive for 244 miles on a single charge of battery and can reach 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. This performance has helped to reposition electric cars as a more realistic option for many motorists around the world, with consumers now warming to the idea of more environmentally friendly motoring. Gas and fuel prices now mean that we could all save a considerable amount of money if we switched to an electric car.The United States of America as well as the United Arab Emirates has seen an increase in the volume of electric cars on their roads and we will probably see the same here in the UK. Tesla has a partnership deal with Lotus which results in the building of the cars in the UK. This could be great for the UK economy.Electric cars are becoming increasingly stylish and when you combine this with the fact that you could considerably help the environment by cutting down massively on your CO2 emissions, means that we should all consider electric cars as the cars of the future.
