The hydraulic pressure to the servos is supplied by a high pressure radial piston hydraulic pump. A total of thirteen sensors continually monitor body movement and vehicle level and supply the ABC controller with new data every ten milliseconds. Four level sensors, one at each wheel measure the ride level of the vehicle, 3 accelerometers measure the vertical body acceleration, one acceleration sensor measures the longitudinal and one sensor the transverse body acceleration. At each hydraulic cylinder a pressure sensor monitors the hydraulic pressure. As the ABC controller receives and processes data, it operates four hydraulic servos, each mounted in series on a spring strut, beside each wheel. Almost instantaneously, the servo regulated suspension generates counter forces to body lean, dive, and squat during various driving maneuvers. A suspension strut, consisting of a steel coil spring and a shock absorber are connected in parallel, as well as a hydraulically controlled adjusting cylinder, are located between the vehicle body and wheel. These components adjust the cylinder in the direction of the suspension strut, and change the suspension length. This creates a force which acts on the suspension and dampening of the vehicle in the frequency range up to five hertz. The system also incorporates height adjustable suspension, which in this case lowers the vehicle up to eleven millimeters between the speeds of 60 km/h (37 mph) and 160 km/h (99 mph) for better aerodynamics, fuel consumption, and handling. The ABC system also allows self-levelling suspension, which raises or lowers the vehicle in response to changing load (i.e. the loading or unloading of passengers or cargo). Each vehicle equipped with ABC has an BC Sport button that allows the driver to adjust the suspension range for different driving style preferences. This feature allows the driver to adjust the suspension to maintain a more level ride in more demanding driving conditions. It was introduced in 1999 on the top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz CL-Class. This system is standard on all Mercedes-Benz SL and CL Class models and on some S Class models sold in the U.S.Similar technology1955 Citro?n DS had hydropneumatic suspension, which had the height adjustable suspension and self-levelling suspension features of ABC, but controlled purely by hydraulic action, since computers in that era were larger than an automobile 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow had technology licensed from Citro?n DS, height adjustable suspension and self-levelling suspension features of ABC 1975 Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 flagship, had the height adjustable suspension and self-levelling suspension features of ABC 1979 Mercedes-Benz W126 then new S class had even more sophisticated height adjustable suspension and self-levelling suspension features of ABC 1984 Mercedes-Benz W124 selected models of E class had this technology (rear only hydraulic suspension) height adjustable suspension and self-levelling suspension features of ABC Mid-1980s, Lotus Cars experimented with active suspension layouts, combining hydraulic and electronic components. 1989 Citro?n XM had a similar electronic control of hydraulic suspension, branded Hydractive. 1991 Toyota Soarer had a fully active hydraulic suspension system on the 1991 UZZ32 model. 1994 Citro?n Xantia Activa variant introduced a fully active suspension known as Hydractive 2 External linksMercedes-Benz USA Mercedes-Benz International Categories: Mercedes-Benz | Automotive suspension technologies | Automotive technology tradenames(and so on) To get More information , you can visit some products about fuse links, rattan dining chairs, . Based on the road-going Exige S, the Lotus Sport Exige Cup has increased standout appeal with its visually striking standout appeal.
With a super low weight of 1800 lbs the already superb power to weight ratio has been yet further improved moving the output of power from 243 hp to 252 hp. This car is as light as possible due to only the bare essentials remaining. Careful consideration of cutting edge lightweight materials alongside the removal of the front mudflaps, bulkhead trim, central locking and carpets have all played their part. Standard equipment consists of uprated 4-piston front breaks, an up-to-date SCCA-compliant roll cage, track-specific slick tires, adjustable anti-sway bar, adjustable dampers, FIA approved Lotus Sport branded driver’s seat that has six-point driver harness (there is no passenger seat) and a ultra-light rear screen (no glass). Efficiency is yet further improved with the Roots-type Eaton M62 supercharger running without using the cars oil thanks to its ’sealed-for-life’ internal mechanism. An air-jack system and level two stainless steel exhaust with de-cat pipe, FIA approved 70 liter fuel cell and plate type limited slip differential and Star Shield complete this cars unnerving racing bias.
One of the fastest cars to be found on a racing circuit, the Lotus Sport Exige Cup is highly aerodynamic and is capable of in excess of 90 pounds of downforce when traveling at 100mph, ultimately improving traction and safety whilst at top speeds.
Capable of reaching almost 160 mph and a catapulting acceleration of zero to 100 mph in just under 9.8 seconds, a 0-60mph of 3.9 seconds, this sports machine is the ideal partner for a track day nut.
At $84,990, with extra options available, delivery charges and taxes to be paid these cars will amass a large queue of enthusiastic buyers, receiving their car on a purely first come first serve basis.
