Weâve all gone to the Auto Shows to look at the new models coming out in the coming year and they usually look impressive enough, but what we really go to see are the automakers visions of the future. The Concept Cars. As much as we can drool over a Lamborghini or pant at a Lotus, itâs the designs of next generation vehicles that truly get our blood pressure rising and eyeball spinning in the back of our heads. We love to look at space like shapes of things to come especially if itâs something we can sit in and drive off. If itâs something we can fly, then even better.Real cars of the future are not vehicles that will roll on four wheels and look like sleek streaks of lightning or oblong tear drops that hum instead of roar. No, the true prospect of visionary transport is not bound by the winding roads but by the rush of the winds in the sky.Behold the dream of travel that has been dogging humans and festering in their nightmares since people realized we could indeed see life in the 21st century â Flying cars.Ever since the new millennium burst upon us without imploding our hard drives or exploding our CPUâs, mankind has been asking â âWhereâs my flying car?”Wasnât this the ever present solitary symbol of our accent into the era of space age travel, that weâd all get our own private vehicles that we could roll out of the garage, glide down the drive way and take off into the wild blue yonder? I see the wild blue but how am I going to get to the “yonder”?Apparently the age of cars that have a vertical lift still has a little ways to go, but not too far. In fact there are a number of intrepid invertors and companies that have prototypes right now that can take us into the Jetson stream. The Moller companyâs latest design is itâs Skycar M400. This two seat personal flying craft has vertical lift and landing and can cruise at a maximum speed of 375 mph at a height of 13,200 feet. Thatâs the perfect speed and height for the modern skyway. George would be proud. Although George Jetson could never afford the $1 million dollar price tag, considering what Mr. Spacely pays him, with a little luck the manufacture hopes to bring it down to the more earthly bargain of just $60,000 once it goes into mass production. The road-able aircraft made by Terrafugia is called the Transition. With a price of $148,000 this little beauty has foldable wings allowing it to sail in the clouds or drive the winding roads. It looks like this could be in production and ready as soon as 2009.The Transition will have a fuel capacity of 20 gallons with a cruising speed of 120 miles per hour which uses about 75% power. Gas mileage is better than most mid-sized cars with 30 mpgs in the air and 40 mile per gallon on the highway. When fully folded out the wing span stretches to 27 feet and the total length of the aircar is just 225 inches. Most flying concept cars tend to look more like small planes or a hybrid of plane and helicopter, most except for the LaBiche Aerospace FSC-1TM. Truly a treat for sky jockey desiring to soar into the Stratosphere at hair-raising speeds while sitting in a beautiful sleek folding design. The LaBiche has wings and rear propeller that will automatically hide inside the car when youâre on the street but when youâre ready to take off sheâll spread out and blow away the birds at a top speed of 275 mph. Not one for the mass produced crowd because the LaBiche is a build it yourself kit that costs $175,000. Air plane glue not included.Urban Aeronautics introduces us to a revolutionary type of personal transport in the X Hawk. Developed for real world urban applications, the X Hawk has vertical lift and landing abilities and uses a vane control system which is comprised of cascading vanes at the inlet duct which gives this air ambulance looking vehicle unique maneuverability options. This amazing system of control allows the craft to move up, down, forward, back and sideways. This type of mobility is unheard of and is a much more complete articulation of movement from the standards of roll, pitch and yaw.Control of this kind gives the X Hawk tremendous stability, whether flying in gusty winds or having your passengers jump out, hopefully with parachutes. The rotor-less design of vane control systems does away with complicated and expensive rotor head which drops the craftâs purchase and maintenance costs.Imagine a world where you can take off into the sky, fly to the office and land on the roof or the street. With advancements in aerospace technologies rapidly coming into reality, the day of our flying cars could literally been seen within our lifetimes. Now I want my personal jet pack.

Love is a fickle game where there are just as many losers as there are winners. When it comes to affairs of the heart, nothing is ever certain or guaranteed. Even when things are seemingly going well, we can find ourselves spurned by the one we love and rejected without fully understanding why. And while we cannot ever fully protect ourselves from the demise of a relationship, we can minimise the chances of becoming a relationship loser by building up an arsenal of great Valentines Day Gifts all ready for the big day. The type of Valentines Day Gifts you ultimately go for will depend upon the type of man you’re buying for. After all, just because one type of man particularly likes certain types of Valentines Day Gifts, it doesn’t mean that another will feel the same way about the Valentines Day Gifts you’ve chosen; the dispirited claims that “all men are the same” is simply not true. If the man in your life is the energetic kind, the best types of Valentines Day Gifts will naturally reflect this vibrancy and energy. This being the case, if your man is the kind of guy who gets a kick out of adrenalin rushes, why not go for high octane Experience Day Valentines Day Gifts? For example, for lovers of fast cars, the Lotus Exige Driving at Silverstone experience day could be a fantastic choice. The Lotus Exige is a beautiful sports car, constructed with the company’s philosophy of creating a racing car that is just as much at home on the road as it is on the racetrack; it’s actually one of the fastest and safest cars legally allowed to be driven around on public roads. Interestingly, given the media attention on the poor performance of Britain’s car industry, Lotus is not only a successful motor company, but also a British one. Since its creation in 1952, the company has even become involved in Formula One. The company has produced a wide variety of vehicles, and in addition to its own creations, Lotus Engineering – a relative of Lotus Cars – has worked with a number of external partners to create or improve upon a collection of non-Lotus vehicles; examples include the Vauxhall VX220, the Isuzu Piazza and the Dodge EV. And if your man likes his Valentines Day Gifts with a twist, why not go for the Monster Truck Driving Experience Day? Sporting 66″ tyres, together with a 7.5 litre engine, these monster trucks are as much of a thrill to watch as they are to drive. The day will involve negotiating some pretty tough terrain, and he’ll even get to experience a deliberate sideways roll! In contrast, if your man is more of a laidback kind of guy, why not look for Valentines Day Gifts that really appeal to his own personal tastes and hobbies? If he’s a fan of desserts, send him to a Chocolate Making Workshop? Held in either Manchester or London, the Chocolate Making Workshop is as much a feast for the senses as it is an ideal Valentines Day Gift. After all, what could be more appealing than being taught how to make delicious chocolate using nothing but the most delicious and freshest of ingredients? And in homage to the saying that if you give a man a fish he’ll eat for a day, but if you teach him to fish he’ll eat for a lifetime, if you give your man Valentines Day Gifts that teach him to make delicious hand-made chocolate, he’ll be able to offer you delicious chocolate-based Valentines Day Gifts until the end of your days. While many of us have a few preconceived notions about chocolate – such as it being tasty but a little fattening, and present in a countless number of Valentines Day Gifts – there is actually more to chocolate than meets the eye. Interestingly, dark chocolate and cocoa have been linked with offering circulatory benefits, and chocolate is even believed to be an aphrodisiac! That makes chocolate-oriented Valentines Day Gifts an even more enticing option!

Sell Your Car at Your Own Risk!
What are the reasons that a private seller of a luxury/exotic automobile succeed or fail?
The answers are really quite simple yet baffling.
Too often a private seller gets caught up in an array of emotional thoughts that cloud the reality of what it takes to sell their car. They believe they have a luxury/exotic car that the world will come beating at their door or phone or email to buy. The fact is, they just don’t know the industry and how to capitalize on it.
Selling your luxury/exotic car privately is no different than what a Dealer does on a daily basis with the exception that you are doing it once and now. So why do so many people waste their time and money on useless dead-end car selling techniques? The answer is very simple, THEY DO NOT KNOW ANY BETTER!
Here are some of the most obvious mistakes a private seller of a luxury/exotic car makes (and ones you must avoid).
1. Placing the car for sale on an Internet site that does not specialize or focus their attention in luxury/exotic cars. Simply choosing a well known named Internet company who do not cater to luxury/exotic cars but instead will list any and every car make and model available lessen your chances of success by at least 75%.
2. Not establishing a realistic budget in advance of selling the car. If a new private seller does not plan ahead with a budget to sell their car they will be caught in a tangled web of financial uncertainty of what to do without deciding how much to do it with. This is sure fire killer to ultimately selling your car at a loss and doing so in a time period much longer than you expected or wanted.
3. Not Understanding that selling your car has two primary factors. The first is that you have a new temporary business. The second is that it is a numbers game. Both of these factors will contribute your success or failure to sell your car. Here is what I mean.
Selling your car is no different than your local dealer selling their cars, albeit on a much smaller scale. Both of your goals are to sell a car. They have to do it daily and you are doing it once now. So, the business side is obvious and the same – sell the car. Now, combine that with factor two that it is a numbers game. In order for the dealer to sell cars they need the number of buyers to walk into their showroom and have as many people as possible hopefully drive out with a car. That is why they have a big advertising budget. You are no different. You also need the buyers as they do. However, you do not have a showroom and you do not have deep pockets for an ongoing massive advertising campaign. Therefore you have to budget your advertising dollars (as stated above) more strategically to reach out to the right buyers to gain the advantage of the numbers of qualified buyers to sell your car. Since this is a temporary business for you, unlike a dealer, it is imperative that you make two very important business decisions.
1. How much will my advertising budget be?
2. What is the best way to reach out to the number of qualified buyers?
So, have you decided on an advertising budget? Have you discovered the best resources to find the number of qualified buyers, and by qualified I mean people who are serious buyers, not just tire kickers?
Obviously I am asking you these questions in order for you to understand the realities of having your own short term business of selling your car so you can make intelligent decisions and ultimately sell your car in a shorter period of time and at the best price.
Additional Mistakes:
1. Not being available (All the time)to communicate with potential buyers. Or in other words -Hiding in plain sight. It is absolutely astounding that so many first time sellers do not make themselves easily available to prospective buyers. They list their cell phone yet they rarely answer on the first call. They list their email address yet they rarely check it or respond promptly. They think that by not responding promptly they are showing that they are not eager to sell the car. On the contrary, an interested buyer is eager to want information and will quickly lose interest if there is a slow response and ultimately buy another car. In essence if you snooze you lose.
2. Not pricing the cat properly. We have seen all too often a car for sale by a private seller that is either way too high or well under priced. If you do not do your homework on pricing you are pricing your car out of the market. Quality research will result in a faster sale at the right price. The longer it takes to sell your car the more it depreciates on a daily basis.
3. Poorly written descriptions and selling points.
All too often a private seller believes that simply writing the basic details of the vehicle will be enough to get a person interested in the car. The details and specifics are important, however they are not enough. A prospective buyer literally needs to be overwhelmed by what they read. It is the exciting car ad that truly catches their attention that will in turn make the prospect want to respond.
4. Getting emotionally involved with the car. If selling your car is your goal, then separate the emotion from the reality. The more you are emotionally attached to your car, the less likely you will make the right decisions on how to sell it. Remember, selling your car is a temporary business.
5. Being a poor negotiator or too greedy. If you are not comfortable negotiating with someone you will probably end up selling your car at a price lower than what you really could have gotten. Conversely, if you are too greedy, you will not sell your car at all. Either learn the skills necessary to negotiate or rely on a professional to do it for you.
All of the points discussed above are the sure fire reasons that first time luxury/exotic car sellers succeed in failing to sell their car. Overcoming these issues is not as difficult as they may seem. You can do it on your own or hire an expert to help you.
We wish you the best in selling your luxury/exotic car.
